BREAKING: Donald Trump kicks off his week with a crushing defeat as a federal appeals court upholds the jury verdict that he sexually abused E. Jean Carroll — and denies his demand for a new trial. And it gets even better... "Both E. Jean Carroll and I are gratified by today’s decision. We thank the Second Circuit for its careful consideration of the parties’ arguments," said Carroll’s attorney Roberta Kaplan. MAGA supporters were hoping that Trump's election victory would sway the court to rule in his favor, but of course his guilt has nothing to do with his newly regained political power. This is a clear sign that justice still exists despite Trump's win. The verdict carries with it a $5 million ruling. Trump desperately alleged that the trial judge made numerous errors, including allowing testimony from other alleged victims. The federal court stated that even if the judge did commit errors, those alleged errors did not undermine the strength of Carroll's case. Trump is a legally adjudicated sexual abuser. God, I loved this man so much. When I was 7 years old, I wrote to him and asked him to come to Lancaster and campaign. I told him that I got permission from my parents that he could stay at our house. When I was 10, I read Rosalyn's autobiography. It was the longest book I had read up to that point. I couldn't put it down. When I was 12, my dad went to NY to rehab tenements with him for homeless people, and he got Pres Carter's autograph for me. I wrote to him again to thank him and point out that he could run again for president. He wrote me back to thank me and tell me that he wasn’t planning to do that but he appreciated my faith in him. I get that now. And when the kids were little, we traveled to Plains to attend his Sunday School class. I cried through the whole lesson. Jimmy Carter is the reason I am a Democrat. I will miss his presence on this earth.
