Global current account imbalances are widening again. History shows widening imbalances can cause sectoral dislocation, often come before financial crises or abrupt reversals of capital flows. A disorderly adjustment could be exceptionally costly. 1/7

TLDR: While tariffs may deliver short-term revenues & welfare gains for the US, the long-term cost of undermining global cooperation is enormous.

@FabioGhironi We’re very sorry to hear this. Our deepest condolences to you, Katrina, and the kids. Their sadness showing reflects they probably got to know him well enough; likely due to the choice you made for the family when moving closer to them (with all the trade-offs this meant)
