I keep saying, “this one went too far.” At this point it would almost be funny if it weren’t so damn horrifying.

This week, two Jewish owned bakeries (Kiva’s) in Toronto were targeted. Now Noam, where my parents and sister go every week for kosher food, has been destroyed by a fire.

88% of Jewish Canadians feel less safe than five years ago. One in four has considered leaving or made plans to.

These are not random incidents. This is the reality I wrote about months ago.

This is not anxiety. This is evidence.

@vickyrobinbaum @JMeddings That explains things re my own exp with referrals to surgeons in AB. This is just simply saying docs should first ask about HSA coverage and send patients to the shortest image waiting list possible.
U think docs get $ when referring patients to a public imagery facility?

@JMeddings Thats a great question. Docs always send patients thru the public system 1st. Health Spending Account benefits that many employees now have can claim these imaging costs. Maybe that should be the 1st question asked.

U think businesses have influence where docs send patients?

@JMeddings "..a small fixed pool of diagnostic capacity.." There is plenty of diag cpty in AB. The question is why aren't we making better use of the private facilities. It's absurd that AHC coverage doesn't include them if public services can't sched an exam within 4 weeks.
