I would be livid if I was Elon. Imagine you go all-in, receive tons of death threats, your companies are under fire, but you keep your head on the mission to cut costs thinking you’re doing your part to save our country. You bring in the best and brightest young minds, convincing them even though they get death threats too. You make big progress, toiling every day, 16+ hour work days, never complaining. You convince yourself it’s worth it because you love the country and want a better future. Then, all your work is thrown out the window by some spending bill that increases the deficit and raises the debt ceiling by $5 trillion. And then you find out in 2 years they are going to need to raise the debt ceiling again because $5 trillion is going to be added to the federal debt over the next 2 years. Then the President says you’re “off the rails” and a “train wreck”. And you have to bite your tongue because how do you reply to that. You can’t make up this stuff.
ELON: COMPANIES BEAT CHARITY
“I care about the reality. Perception be damned.”
Elon’s companies deliver bigger wins for humanity than charity, opening doors for all!
The core take:
* Tesla Push: Speeds up sustainable energy, green jobs and clean air for all
* SpaceX Goal: Makes life multiplanetary; new frontiers, new chances to thrive
* Charity Challenge: Giving cash effectively is tough, often misses the mark
@elonmusk’s empire lights up a cosmic trail of opportunities for humanity!

Watch the opening scene of Idiocracy.
When I ask my friends why they’re not yet having kids (very few are), it sounds exactly like the movie.
