@MikeBeauvais You see my first thought here was child soldiers, which seems infinitely scarier & more bleak, but which opened the door for a film about teen ICE nazis & soundtracked by this https://t.co/Y7Vk2iMhNj
@Storm_Castle@ThomsonSherin “You people are scum who should be rounded up & put away in camps” >> *those people react negatively to their humanity being threatened* >> “your reaction only proves my point”
Any & every atrocity can be “justified” this way. Don’t be surprised when this gets applied to you.
@MikeIsaac It takes a rare level of cognitive dissonance to get to this point. The kind of person who sees abject poverty / other people’s misfortune as a personal failure rather than being tied to anything systemic. Yet views the system built to benefit them fully as oppressive to them.
@MikeIsaac Insane victim mindset by the poster. “It sucks to be in a position of privilege due to my hard work against all odds…the impoverished are so lucky to have perks such as aquarium, in fact, aquarium only incentivizes them to remain impoverished!”
@bankaikokujo@ayaonx @ayanadate It does help tho. Just wrapped up the worst year of my life by a mile. Divorce, lost my father, laid off. Therapy & learning how to process/talk about this shit is the reason I’m still standing.
