In 2023, Web Summit almost collapsed. It was the worst year in our history. 2024, by contrast, is already the biggest year in our history.

We’ve already broken our biggest year by revenue ever. Revenue will jump by more than 30% compared to our previous record.

We’ll welcome more startups to Lisbon than any previous year. It’s all a bit surreal.

From the worst year in 2023 to the best year in our history in 2024, the last 12 months have been the craziest roller coaster of a lifetime.

The most insane turnaround imaginable would not have been possible without an incredible team of 300+ people and the support of a long, long list of founders and friends from across the world.

Never stop believing. Embrace the crazy. Anything is possible.

Yurko from our team moved to Galway from Ukraine just as the war started.

He had found a place but his girlfriend joined him to escape the conflict & the place he'd found said they couldn't take 2 and now he's really struggling to find somewhere :(

A sad sight to see in Trinity college this morning. The old Oregon maple on library square collapsed during the night. A beautiful tree that would have had Bram Stoker, Samuel Beckett and Mary Robinson among others, pass under it's branches in its 200 plus years on campus.
