It’s time for the POTUS to listen to 90% Americans that are concerned about pesticides - not the farmers that are controlled by BIG AG. This meeting exposes the system that keeps Americans drowning in poison.
After today’s Supreme Court ruling in favor of Monsanto I will officially be introducing legislation stripping pesticide companies of any liability protections for the harm their products cause the American people. These companies purposefully omit labeling information knowing their products cause cancer and other health problems. It is time they are held accountable. Enough is enough.
I am literally sick. This is a devastating blow to every family that trusted our justice system.
Monsanto just won at the Supreme Court in a 7-2 decision, putting billions of dollars in jury verdicts for Roundup victims at risk. Americans who developed cancer after exposure to Roundup may now be denied the justice that juries across the country determined they deserved.
The message from this ruling is dangerous: if a federal agency approves a product, manufacturers may be shielded from accountability even when people are harmed.
Congress must act immediately.
1️⃣ Congress must pass legislation to correct this decision and restore Americans' right to hold corporations accountable.
2️⃣ During the EPA's upcoming Roundup review, truthful warning labels must be required so consumers can make informed choices.
3️⃣ The Senate must remove the Farm Bill provision that would delay this critical EPA review.
This is a defining moment. Every elected official now has a choice: stand with families harmed by toxic chemicals or stand with the corporations that profit from them.
The American people are watching. We will remember who fought for us and who didn't. Hold their feet to the fire #FoodBabeArmy
Taxpayers should not be forced to pay for products that make people sick and then pay again for the medical care that follows. SNAP was created to fight hunger and improve nutrition, not to subsidize the chronic disease epidemic. Today’s ruling does not change the facts about the health harms associated with excessive sugar consumption. We will continue pursuing every available path to Make America Healthy Again.
Juan Hernandez began his career at SpaceX as a welder earning $28 per hour. When he became a full-time employee, the company granted him $10,000 worth of stock, a nice perk, but nothing that seemed life-changing at the time.
Then came SpaceX’s record-breaking IPO.
Those same shares are now worth more than $1 million.
Juan wasn’t the only one. Thanks to SpaceX’s generous equity program, thousands of employees, from welders and technicians to cafeteria workers and engineers, have also become millionaires.
His story is a powerful reminder: sometimes the greatest rewards don’t come from your hourly wage, but from owning a piece of the mission you help build.
Elon just created 4,400 millionaires in a single day.
400 of them are now worth over $100 million.
These aren't VCs. They're SpaceX employees, and the list includes welders, technicians, and cafeteria staff, because for two decades the company paid every level of the workforce in stock instead of higher salaries.
Juan Hernandez immigrated from Mexico and took a $28 an hour contractor welding job in 2015. He says he didn't even know what SpaceX was. The company gave him a $10,000 equity grant and let him buy more shares through payroll deductions. That stake is now worth $880,000.
Trevor Hise's parents wanted him to take a stable job at General Electric. He picked SpaceX instead, stayed 12 years, and accumulated over 100,000 shares. At the $135 listing price that's $13.5 million. He's 37 and semiretired. His words: "The magnitude of this has been ridiculous."
The most telling detail came before the listing. Over 100 employees quietly banded together and negotiated a group wealth management deal covering up to $5 billion, because none of them had ever needed a wealth manager before.
Software IPOs have minted millionaires for 30 years. This is the first one where the money went to the factory floor.
First, abandoning newborns on bad locations existed when abortion was legal.
Second, this baby had a tough time right after birth but survived and will likely now be adopted. Abortion would have killed him or her.
The MAHA movement is millions of people who demand a country where water and food isn't poisoned with cancer, infertility, autoimmunity and hormone disruption. If we can't even ditch the chem that turned male frogs female, what are we doing here. This isn't it - what's next?
Both of these additives do not belong in the US food system. ADA has already been banned in several countries - you get fined and put in jail if you use it in one country but it's still in our bread! BHT is rarely used in food or cereal overseas... but Kellogg's still lines cereal bags with this endocrine disrupting chemical. Shameful!
We are facing a massive population decline and John Thune thinks it’s a good time to shill for pesticide manufacturers.
For those who don’t know, a lot of the crap they are spraying on our food during farming IS causing cancer… especially in kids. Not to mention the KNOWN impacts on fertility.
The pesticide liability shield needs to STAY OUT of the Farm Bill. Hearing the Senate is trying to add it back in.
🇺🇸 Star Wars actor Mark Hamill posted “if only” with an image of Trump, dead in a grave… unbelievable
Obi-Wan Kenobi once said to Luke Skywalker:
“Don’t give in to hate. That leads to the dark side.”
Seems Luke did not listen.
I hate all gerrymandering and it should be illegal.
Full stop - it's awful when democrats do it, it's awful when republicans do it. American citizens have their voices and representation robbed of them.
This is why we're finding Roundup residues in everything from oatmeal to bread to breakfast cereal. Simply banning the spraying of glyphosate right before harvest would dramatically reduce the amount of this poison in the American diet. We deserve the same stricter standards being used in Europe. @RepThomasMassie@TuckerCarlson
So we’re seriously considering rolling BACK protections on PFAS in drinking water?! These are “forever chemicals” linked to major health risks and Americans want MORE accountability here, not less. Don’t weaken PFAS regulations!!! @EPA@epaleezeldin
Hearing from trusted sources in the Senate that there’s an active push to reinsert pesticide liability protections into the Farm Bill, even after the House stripped them out.
To the Senate: don’t. If this comes back with those protections included, we have the votes to kill it.
A number of Republicans are already regretting their vote against the amendment and are feeling the pressure from MAHA moms back home for their reelections.
The COVID cover-up goes all the way to the top. Fauci funded the Wuhan lab. Senior intelligence officials hid classified evidence from the president himself. Scientists were silenced. Millions paid the price.
The DOJ has until May 11th to prosecute Fauci before the statute of limitations runs out.
I am not letting this go. The American people deserve justice.
🔥The Farm Bill that includes my 🥩 PRIME Act pilot just passed the House!
This is a game changer for farmers — and provides access to locally raised beef, pork, and lamb for consumers!
We also stripped the immunity/state labeling ban for pesticides from the Farm Bill. MAHA!
