🎉Hot off the press!🎉 We show for the first time hair cortisol concentrations (HCC) in mother–infant dyads with and without prenatal opioid exposure and change in HCCs over time in the early postnatal period. HCCs increased over time in opioid-exposed infants. #AcadmicTwitter
🎉Our article is published! 🎉
We show that preterm infants with prenatal opioid exposure have smaller brain sizes compared to non-exposed infants, potentially increasing their risk for neurodevelopmental abnormalities. #AcademicTwitter@The_BMC@elisha_wachman@JPerinatology
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow...

He was truly a scholar, a committed educator, and more importantly a man who cared deeply about each and every individual - for who they are. He will be dearly missed by many, and I am fortunate to have known him, and been blessed by his life. 🙏🏾
We lost one of the kindest, most encouraging of men, Dr. Myer Horowitz. He inspired so many during his life, not only as @UAlberta President during the '70s and '80s, but even up until his last breath. During my time as @UASUualberta Pres, I got to know and come to love him (🧵)
As I draw to the end of my Masters's degree, I am thinking of what will come next. Just a few months ago Dr. Horowitz enduringly said to me: “When you’ll be through with the Master’s you’ll need someone to nag you to do a doctorate, EH?” I guess I have my work cut out for me. 🧵
I rose in the Senate today to pay tribute to a great mensch and visionary - Dr. Myer Horowitz, president of @UniversityofAlberta from 1979 to 1989. May his memory be for a blessing - as he blessed Edmonton with his leadership. #ualberta#yeg@uvic@UAlbertaEd@AlbertaTeachers
The growth of this conference is awe-inspiring! We're thankful for our incredible community of researchers, clinicians and scientists who made the trip to Portugal. But more importantly, for the work they're doing. Reasons for hope are on the horizon! #CureHHT
