@rachelsklar I felt the excitement, especially when Walz jumped in with the "weird" angle of criticism. But then the Adults in the Room brought in people like Liz Cheney, and it felt more like biz as usual. Wonder if that played a role? I'm still bewildered, honestly.

@BradBaumgarten @stevenpmillies @johnmsides Fair point, but inflation is, what, 2.1% now? "Inflation" is as much of a straw man as "economic anxiety." Inflation was bad, but everyone had it bad after a global pandemic. I think he other'd enough people to bring out the worst in many.
