We are getting close to starting lease up for our 111-homes development in West Carson. A community specifically for formerly homeless and low income families.
“The housing and homelessness crises require us to act with urgency, innovate and use all public resources available to create more affordable housing. That is exactly what we’re doing here.” – Joel Roberts, CEO @pathpartners#affordablehousing#resources
Part of addressing the homelessness crisis is BUILDING more housing.
That’s exactly what we're celebrating at Hollywood @pathpartners Villas, where units of permanent supportive housing will house formerly homeless older Angelenos as they find long term stability and relief.
There is nothing better than this. This moment, when people finally get to come home. And what a beauty it is, of course it’s a @pathpartners@joeljohnroberts development! ❤️ cc @ChuckRobbins yet another one!
The sun may be setting on @MayorOfLA's term, but the work to end homelessness in the city goes on. We are so grateful for Garcetti's partnership and trust during his time in office. PATH wishes him well on his next chapter in public service!
A powerful case made for the need to change government contracting practices by @joeljohnroberts at @pathpartners "At any given day we're, basically lending to the government until they pay us back" which can take months & months, with no interest
Construction walk-through with our contractor, R.D. Olson, at West Carson Villas. Next year, 111 families and individuals who live on our streets today will move into their new homes. #MakingItHome
I shared with this LA Business Journal reporter that developers, like PATH Ventures, who are rooted in mission, committed to equity, fighting to overcome poverty, are at a disadvantage to market-rate developers whose mission is to make a profit. https://t.co/ikICxj6J16
This used to be a 2 story homeless shelter. Soon it will become PATH Villas Hollywood, 60 apartments for people who used to call the streets their home. I love seeing our progress at our weekly PATH Ventures construction meetings. #MakingItHome
Last week’s construction meeting discussing one of our 5 developments currently under construction. We are pouring concrete for PATH Villas West Carson, 111 new homes for individuals and families who will be formerly homeless. We also have 12 more developments in our pipeline.
We'll never slow our efforts to bring our unhoused neighbors home.
Today, with the opening of PATH Villas Montclair Apartments, we have more than 1,300 HHH-funded affordable housing units occupied or ready for move-in.
Thank you @PathPartners, & all who voted to pass prop HHH.
Today is the grand opening of @PATHPartners' Villas in South Gate, a permanent supportive housing project with 59 apartments for veterans and people who have experienced homelessness.
PATH Ventures CEO @joeljohnroberts shared, "Cities around the state are getting people off the street and into housing. The problem is, the homeless numbers are not going away. We’re not preventing homelessness. We see phase two as a homeless-prevention program.”
