@TartanArmyGroup Welcome to Miami Beach and can’t wait to march down one of the world’s most iconic streets with you all. Fingers crossed my kilt gets here in time!
Great commentary Gerald. But of course someone would suggest giving an alcoholic more alcohol. Who? The alcohol industry, as they are the ones that stand to benefit. Which is why politicians suggest more money thrown into the political abyss - because it’s them and their interests that stand to benefit.
We do “tax the rich” - in the CNBC interview, Bezos cited the well-known statistic that the top 1% of taxpayers pay 40% of all federal income taxes.
The correct policy debate is whether we want to “tax the rich more”
That’s a fair question. But it’s not the one pushed by politicians who are waging class warfare as a simplistic fix to America’s many problems. Without putting some common sense limits on spending, much of any extra money raised will likely disappear into pet projects and government waste and inefficiency.
No one would give an alcoholic more to drink.
@FlexSuperApp is a Miami grown Fin Tech. Every single person and company I have ever sent their way has loved the white glove treatment. Check them out
Flex is the only FinTech serving businesses across every industry, not just tech and ecommerce.
In fact, the majority of our customers are in traditional industries. This forced us to build consumer-grade experiences that are delightful and simple, while building KYC and Credit infra designed for serving the best businesses in these industries.
Dan, I Chair our finance committee in Miami Beach. Not only did we cut our tax mileage rate this past year, we sent a $500 check to homesteaded residents from the surplus we ran. All while prioritizing our core essential services that has seen major crimes and homelessness at near record levels. We are seeing a dichotomy of visions in this country, and I think what we are building in South Florida is- a pragmatic, pro business, common sense approach suits you well. Let’s bring you back home!
Talking to my friend and Miami Beach resident Mr. Wonderful about the pro business, pro growth policies we have implemented in Miami / Miami Beach. As @kevinolearytv says, the numbers speak for themselves. Who is ready to join us here in Miami Beach? @ABCSharkTank
@CGasparino@nypost Sounds exactly like our conversation at Carbone several months ago my friend. Would love to help your friend in Miami, rolling out the red carpet for capital and jobs to reallocate to the Sunshine State
Neil, we are creating something truly special down here in Miami and Miami Beach. I was a Wall Street guy that moved to Miami Beach ten years ago, and every day, I live the life I once dreamed of. Great community, business ecosystem growing by the day, and I drive around town on my golf cart. Here to help in any way I can.
Great speaking with CEO of @Ripple my friend and Miami Beach resident Brad Garlinghouse on the pro business policies in Miami Beach leading to an ecosystem of building, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Reminds him of Silicon Valley in the 90’s #consensus2026
Managed to spend some time at the main @consensus2026 conference this week as well.
Honestly, if you missed it this year, I’d highly recommend making the trip next time around.
Between Miami being the city it is, all the side events throughout the week like Pudgy Penguins, OKX, private meet ups/dinners, and the overall networking,
It ended up being one of the strongest event weeks I’ve experienced in a long time.
🔥 ON STAGE: Commissioner @joemiamibeach and Mayor @StevenMeiner of Miami Beach at #Consensus2026.
“Where capital goes, innovation follows. We are looking to encourage innovation and shape the future trajectory of the world.”
@Cointelegraph@joemiamibeach@StevenMeiner Miami Beach is positioning itself as a global hub for innovation, attracting capital that drives the next wave of technological and financial advancements.
Great to speak at Consensus 2026. Capital has become mobile and not confined to one or two traditional hubs. In Miami Beach, we are rolling out the red carpet for capital and innovation, not punishing it. And as capital becomes increasingly mobile, it will increasingly flow to the locations it is embraced
@DanielSLoeb1 Dan it was great meeting at i connections. I am happy to welcome these business leaders, their families and employees with open arms in Miami Beach. Business friendly, low tax, prioritize public safety and quality of life. Let me know how i can help
@tarakeeney We would love to have you come in and work at our office in Miami Beach for a few days if you’re in town. Some great teams and groups

And this will be soo incredibly self serving but it’s hard to not mention the government policies from a local and state level in place helping facilitate this movement. There is a bifurcation of visions in this country - some jurisdictions looking to tax unrealized gains, and places like Miami and Florida looking to help founders and our ecosystem grow and thrive.
