@MaddeverAndrew @RichMadd86@Farmer_Tom_UK @BBCCountryfile @tomheapmedia Weโve stopped paying our tv license now! My world is a better place without the BBC in it.
@ellejgibson I can think of countless Europeans who work in the industry at many levels. But if you want an example of someone who looks less โmale, stale and paleโ, I can literally think of one person.
@ellejgibson ๐๐ I suppose when you think about, ethnic minorities make up about 20% of our population, and farmers make up about 0.7% of our population. So you looking for pictures of 20% of UK farmers. So around 95,000 people?? That figure seems 90,000 too high!
@agricontract Lowering the human population is the unpopular but by far better option. As @EdCTBrown says, education and raising people out of poverty is the only way it will happen now that coronavirus isnโt as deadly as first imagined and all of the world wars have dried up.
@Ben__Adamss Row spacing is quite important when it comes to hoeing. 25cm rows makes life pretty easy whereas anything below 15cm is almost impossible if you want any sort of output.
@Harris_Farming @willpenrievans Iโve seen people use a power Harrow behind the combine, 2 inches deep with the clod board down @ 8kph at an angle. Normally for the first 4 years or so. Their fields are pretty level.
@Jethro777777 Absolutely perfect! And think of the root mass below the soil too! I wonder if it would be killable by crimping? Iโll call in sometime soon.
Have you started your soil sampling yet? It really is very important!
@GeorgeHepburn7 Shows us what to look out for and also the best way to take each sample
