Illinois has the highest property taxes in the nation, and Chicago just decide to use $425M in your property tax dollars to bailout a billionaire!
It’s time to ban TIF districts, and reduce property taxes.
Gov. Pritzker is the worst governor in America.
Illinois has the worst big state job growth.
Illinois is losing 4 small businesses per week to other states.
We are hemorrhaging people to other states.
Apparently there is no money for property tax relief, but the new budget hooks up Pritzker’s own Hyatt hotel empire with $9 MILLION in taxpayer funds.
Total joke.
Gas prices are finally dropping—but not in Illinois.
We're still paying the second-highest gas tax in the country.
A picture is worth a thousand words. ⬇️
Somali migrants hold rally in MN, wearing and waving Somali flags while demanding their right to be here.
Not a single American flag can be seen in the crowd.
Illinois has the most state pension debt in America — by a wide margin. How bad is it?
IL Pension Debt: $145.49B
The bottom 41 states combined: $145.77B
IL population: ~12.7M Bottom 41 states: ~180M
And Pritzker and his allies in Springfield are considering pension sweeteners that could add $76B+ more in costs for Illinois taxpayers.
This is not sustainable. This is a crisis.
Your home should not become a lifetime lease from the government.
Property taxes should be capped at 1% of the purchase price.
You own your home. The state doesn't.
My gas tax plan is simple:
Repeal JB Pritzker's gas tax hikes.
Cut vehicle registration fees in half.
And spend road money on roads.
Fill potholes, not budget holes.
If I doubled prices at my business and delivered the same product, I'd lose customers.
JB Pritzker doubled the gas tax and Illinois roads still rank 37th.
In government, failure gets rewarded.
JB Pritzker is handing out tax breaks for data centers and billionaire buddies while regular families get priced out of their homes.
Where's our break, JB?
Property taxes should be capped at 1% of the price you paid for your home.
If saving Illinois families thousands of dollars a year means government has to make some tough decisions, so be it.
In Part 2 of today’s Pritzker blame games, this time he’s going after Trump for Illinois’ high gas prices.
But somebody – like the press, if they would – needs to ask Pritzker why Trump’s policies don’t hit the Midwest equally. Why is Illinois’ $5.05 per gallon gas price (avg. per AAA):
94 cents higher than Indiana’s?
88 cents higher than Kentucky's?
87 cents higher than Missouri's?
76 cents higher than Iowa's?
55 cents higher than Wisconsin's?
25 cents higher than Michigan's?
Pritzker’s honest answer would be: “Because after I doubled the motor fuel tax in 2019 and then tied those taxes to inflation, we now have the nation’s 3rd-highest gas taxes. It’s on me.”
But don’t count on Pritzker to tell the truth. Or the media to challenge Pritzker on it.

Vote red Illinois for @DarrenBaileyIL.
He is the only choice for Governor. In July the gas tax will rise once again! Pritzker could have put a hold on it but chose not to do so, so he can fund a failing Chicago.
The rest of Illinois is sick and tired of paying for Chicago with no relief for downstate!
Why can't Illinois have a governor who cares about making life more affordable?
While Indiana Governor Mike Braun suspends gas taxes, J. B. Pritzker is letting the Illinois automatic gas tax increase hit drivers again on July 1.
