They act on instruction from the FM. The LA did not go to the Supreme Court because she fancied it.

This is all easily accessible public knowledge. I cannot fathom why anyone would argue with it.

@J4cobite @iansummer1 @RealStephenKerr The Lord Advocate is part of the Scottish Govt and is instructed by the First Minister. The UK Govt can do what it likes in this area (within the law) and the FM knew that. She's badly misjudged the situation now with her daft idea of a de facto referendum.

If you've got, say £25'000 a year from a private pension you can probably do without the state pension. Whereas the poor, who rely on it, get too little

The UK Govt can block a referendum for however long it wants. That's the law.
