Senator Bob Dole was my friend of 53 yrs. From meeting Senator Bob in 1968 when he was in his first year KS Rep and I was a 1st year Hoya to his passing and the opportunity granted me by his wife, Senator Elizabeth, to speak at his funeral, Bob was OUR Disability Hero.
Today, we honor the late Senator Bob Dole on his 102nd birthday—a veteran and servant leader dedicated to serving others. Caring for him inspired his wife, Senator Elizabeth Dole, to launch our mission to empower military and veteran caregivers, their families & communities.
It’s a busy weekend for Lakeshore athletes as our prep and varsity wheelchair basketball teams and wheelchair rugby team are competing throughout the southeast. Both the Sharks and Lakers went undefeated in Day 1 of the Borne to Play Classic in Jacksonville, FL, (1/2)
