@Ihatesugar3 Foreign funded Farage and his merry band of failed tories and Trump sycophants out to further asset strip our country backed by Britain's dumbest
One day you wake up and realize...
Capitalism always wants housing to be unaffordable.
It always wants Healthcare to be unaffordable.
It always wants water to be limited.
It wants to charge you as much as possible for as little as possible.
It doesn't want to make life better.
Just make the richest even richer.
I believe the greatest abuse within our media landscape comes not from ordinary members of the public, but from the mainstream media organisations themselves. If the Government is serious about regulation, it should begin by ensuring that public service broadcasters such as GB News, the BBC, ITV and Sky News are held to the highest standards of impartiality and accuracy, particularly in relation to their political editors and the content they publish.
The same principle should apply to sections of the national press. Newspapers such as the Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph and Daily Express too often appear willing to sacrifice balance and factual accuracy in favour of sensationalism. Narratives are manufactured, speculation is presented as fact, and individuals, whether ministers or private citizens, are subjected to relentless campaigns until the weight of public pressure becomes overwhelming.
Before seeking to curtail the ability of ordinary citizens to respond on social media, your department should first address the standards of those media organisations that shape public debate on a daily basis. The Government has both the authority and the responsibility to ensure that those with the greatest influence are held properly to account.
I have already written to you on these matters. As the minister responsible for this department, your response was profoundly disappointing. Public life inevitably attracts criticism. If you are unwilling to engage with robust scrutiny or withstand legitimate criticism, then you should seriously question whether you are suited to hold ministerial office.
Freedom of the press comes with responsibilities. When media organisations cross the line by abandoning accuracy, fairness and impartiality, they must be held accountable. Those with the greatest influence over public opinion should also bear the greatest responsibility for exercising that influence wisely.
Listening to this slimy wanker trying to explain why he has the gall to moan at Labours defence plan, when defence spending plummeted after 2010, angered me next level.
Hypocrites never get the scrutiny needed & that's what's missing in the MSM.
What an actual cunt he is 👇
Wait till these idiots find out the Tories cut the navy by 25%, shrunk the army from 130,000 to 72,000, put the aircraft carriers to sea with no planes, sold the Harriers to the US, sold off the AWACs and spent £4bn on tanks that don’t work.
Strange that a Thai based billionaire can register to vote at a farmhouse that he doesn't own and doesn't live in, so he can keep funding the party he doesn't own, in an attempt to stop foreign based people who don't live here coming in 🤷
How did we get here? Mostly because we gave billionaires free rein to make astronomical profits without expecting them to make a corresponding contribution to the country in which they made those profits. Time that was changed!
Prices in the UK just don't feel real anymore.
£120 for a return train to London.
£600 for a weekend in England, when you could go abroad for less.
Rent jumping from £700 to £1300 for the same place.
A full tank of fuel now over £100.
Insurance rising every year even with no claims.
And £100 somehow gone on just a couple of bags of shopping.
How did we get here?
@LauraTrottMP Biggest tuition fee increase: 2012 (£3,375 → £9,000).
Biggest policy increase in loan interest: 2012, with the introduction of Plan 2 (RPI + up to 3%). Highest actual interest rates charged: 2023, when capped rates reached 7.3% following the inflation spike. All Tory actions.
Laura Kuenssberg , Chris Mason and some of the other so called Journalists at BBC try so hard to please their boss John McANDREW ex Head of GBNEWS but now head of BBC News Programmes
No wonder once fine unbiased News Programmes have gone
McANDREWS has destroyed IMPARTIALITY
Which one of these news broadcasters do you think played the biggest part in the mainstream media campaign that helped to bring down Sir Keir Starmer?🤔
Repost after voting please.
I’m a pragmatist so there’s little point in going over old ground BUT, switching PM from substance to style will set the country back by a minimum of two years
Well done NEC @UKLabour for snatching failure from the jaws of success
I’m now ex-Labour
Do you think the government needs to take a serious look at the mainstream media the people who own it and the people who work in it, background checks on the lot of them to see if they are acting in the best interests of the people of the UK?🤔
