Finishing back where I started, back on the 22nd June. Altogether on this ride, I've ticked off 728km in 2 and a bit days. Think I might have a rest now.
All my worldly possessions are currently *somewhere* with three blokes I met yesterday/today.
Funny old game this property transaction malarkey ain't it...
FINALLY.
After a few days short of a whole year since putting our house on the market, tomorrow is moving day.
Stunned by how professionally & rapidly two chaps from our movers packed up our entire 3 bed house (we did little prep - washing was still in the machine this morning)
Well this is not the holiday we had planned... On our first full day we dabbled around the lake. Noting the contamination, everyone was very careful to clean up properly after. Child 2 however still has succumbed to severe sickness. Now 3.5 days in and no improvement...
"Proper" cycle commute today... Officially a lycra-clad, road bike riding, backpack wearing commuter again (infrequently, around once a week... Otherwise Brompton)
The car park was never the problem. It's a convenient excuse. Retail is nervous with a pending redevelopment of the shopping centre & unwilling to commit to leases. Nevertheless, blaming the car park is wrong & missing the point. Wouldn't hurt to highlight the alternatives, tho.
I'm normally very supportive of our local press but this is weak journalism at best. Singular focus on one side of a single factor in a much wider story. No mention of the numerous bus routes which get folk closer to the shops than the MSCP did, and for cheaper. 1/2
