What an absolute disgrace @uottawa@uOttawaPHPM is to Canadian values. We demand that Dr. Yipeng @yipengGe be reinstated and Yoni Freedhoff be investigated for student intimidation. #UOTTAWACENSORSHIP
@uOttawa would you rather have your medical residents tweet “we are against human rights” instead? Is that what you would actually stand for? Just trying to understand what is right to you @uOttawaMPSP#uottawacensorship

So excited to finally be able to announce that I am a 2022 Vanier recipient. So incredibly grateful for this opportunity and to be surrounded by amazing mentors from @usask, @SaskPolytech and @McNallyProject
I’m going to say it: I like paying taxes in exchange for a properly managed health care and education system and other government services. I don’t want money back, I want ambulances to come on time.
@mcmack84 I feel like this is a fixable problem. Zoll monitors track this stuff pretty effectively, we’re working on stuff like this in Peguis all the time.
@jfinch@roussin_brent Which is billable as well. So it probably would bring that number down by a significant amount. He’s not here to defend himself but, at the end of the day it makes it much more reasonable. On call 24/7 with a bit of clinic on the side. I wouldn’t want that job
@jfinch@roussin_brent I’m curious to know how much he actually worked. If he worked 40+ hours on being CPHO and then spent extra time being a family doctor I’m not sure I can fault him for that. It’s also beneficial for your medical leadership to remember what it’s like to be a frontline health pro
@jfinch@roussin_brent So I did some math. The numbers on public health are before overhead. An aggressive biller could make 280 dollars an hour prior to overhead. This would be approx 15 hours a week. Still seems like a lot, however I suspect that he also covered the on call phone quite a lot
1-in-5 Ontarians could be without a family doctor by 2025.
Canadians are already some of the highest users of the emergency department in the developed world & already has poor access to primary care. Hospital beds are important but this will not fix the mess in the community.
A 66-year-old quadriplegic man was living a full & happy life because of the home care he received.
But due to staffing issues, his home care supports were cut...stripping away his dignity & autonomy.
Now, he's pursuing Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD).
We have lost our way.
Today is National Truth and Reconciliation Day.
Our purpose on this day of #TruthAndReconciliation is to honour all of the Survivors, children, families & communities impacted by the Residential School System.
How do we truly honour them?
Through action & not words alone.(1/3)
