Alderney has a new team of #volunteer Emergency Responders, trained to support the #ambulance service in the island - equipped with AED & other first aid equipment, they respond to life-threatening calls in their vicinity, in a similar way to #CFRs in Guernsey.

Island Games - Shocking scenes as Deputy Oliver withdraws from the first round of the Pole Vault just before it is about to start.
Speaking to reporters Deputy Oliver said “It’s all been a big misunderstanding, I had no idea the pole would be so high”
@MaryLowe501 The header of the flag (the white edge that attaches to the halyard) is on the right so what’s showing in the picture is the reverse. The flag is therefore not upside down.
Many congratulations to all the volunteers and staff recognised at this evening's @Stjohngsy awards! Your dedication and compassion are inspirational. Thank you for all that you do for the people of these islands. #Guernsey#ambulance#999WhatsYourEmergency
It is with great sadness that we have learned of the death this evening of our Sovereign, HM Queen Elizabeth II. Throughout a remarkable reign, the longest in British history, her constancy and devotion to duty have been an inspiration to us all. She will be profoundly missed.
This is an X-ray of someone who was involved in an RTC - with their feet on the dash.
Just don’t. Ever.
Airbags deploy through a dash panel at 200 MPH.
Imagine your knees into your face at 200 MPH following an RTC - the end.
