$IDCC got amazon to sign a patent license covering prime video and its devices. filed today. the headline is the litigation settlement. what's not settled: the actual dollar amount goes to binding arbitration.

amazon agreed to the structure but not the rate. binding arb means $IDCC argues its valuation in front of a neutral party, not a negotiating table where amazon can anchor low. that's a meaningful distinction from a flat settlement number.

q1 beat was driven by new licensing momentum per the april 30 wire. amazon's video footprint is a different tier of licensee than what's been moving the stock.

Obvs $ASPN can go lower with the whole world stacked against it, but it’s as cheap as all get out and has MAJOR support around $5.50. Last time it was lower was mid-2019! Priced like a going concern risk, but will likely be 2-5x higher in 2 years
