[Augustino Edgar Mwakipesile @eamwakipesile]

It is time for politics to look into the intergenerational interests of the community for todays and tomorrows needs and aspirations. Let plan for land uses by considering the needs of land users (e.g. smallholder farmers and livestock keepers)

[Augustino Edgar Mwakipesile @eamwakipesile]

As a result we are witnessing forests degradation, degradation of water catchments, increased unplanned settlements, unsustainable fishing, shifting cultivation, unsustainable livestock keeping, land conflicts, etc

[Augustino Edgar Mwakipesile @eamwakipesile]

This tendency has resulted into inadequate enforcement of the Laws, Regulations and government plans. As a result we see progressive degradation of our environment either internationally or unintentionally to protect political interests.

[Augustino Edgar Mwakipesile @eamwakipesile]

Robust and sustainable conservation of our environment requires a strong and truly will from our politicians. Experience showed that politicians have short-term vision aiming at realising their political dreams by winning acceptance in the community & gvt authorities.
