Five years ago today, 13 brave American service members were taken from their families and their country by an Islamic terrorist in Kabul, Afghanistan.
We will never forget them, and never again allow our men and women in uniform to be so utterly betrayed.
Itโs a point Bill Buckley made (usually with regard to Latin America): There are some Americans who simply canโt grasp that other people, too, have patriotism. That others, too, have a sense of national dignity. Our president and vice president typify the โugly American.โ A pity.
And Iโm sick of the false choice being presented by these people, as if our only choice is between Romney/Pence weakness and Franco fascism. Itโs ridiculous. We supported DeSantis, who showed the entire country how to effectively wield power and crush the Left in his state. We have a blueprint. Yet you morons want Franco. Itโs the most childish stupidity imaginable.
DSA is out here celebrating Fidel Castro โ a dictator who jailed dissidents, silenced the press, and ran a police state for decades.
That's who they are, and theyโre proud of it.
You don't get to call yourself a champion of the oppressed while praising the man who crushed the Cuban people for generations.
