@MoneyPigTrading There’s no timeline in statute. The 30-60 day comment was imaginary. Rescheduling NEVER happens by executive order. Formally, it is out of POTUS’s hands. Although he could have conversations with this AG, the ultimate decision rests with the AG and a rulemaking process.
Sinema as an Indy and Gallego as the Dem makes it a tough seat to hold, but everyone here underestimating the Arizona GOP’s likelihood of nominating Nazi von Klansman as the 2024 GOP nominee.
So Sinema is going to run as an independent, essentially daring Democrats to run a candidate in the general knowing that doing so would assure a Republican victory
Big Personal News! After over 10 years @BrookingsInst, I've been appointed Director of Maine's Office of Cannabis Policy (@MaineOCP)--the state's adult use and medical cannabis regulatory authority. Honored to serve and to lead an incredibly talented team starting Dec. 30!
@PolicyProcessor@jonlewallen And Sen. @JimInhofe, more than anyone else, begged his colleagues on the Senate floor to consider what an earmark ban meant for transferring power to the president (Obama), and his words fell on too many deaf Republican ears.
How we feeling today, UConn Nation!?
So proud of the effort by our @UConnWBB and @UConnMBB teams this weekend! Basketball Capital of the World! #BleedBlue
Cosponsor alert: @repblumenauer signed on as a cosponsor of the PREPARE Act, which would create a Gov task force to study the best way to regulate and implement a federal framework for legal cannabis. The bill was introduced by @RepDaveJoyce and @RepJeffries.
The next speaker doesn’t need to be a San Francisco liberal to emulate Nancy Pelosi’s success in keeping House colleagues in line, raising huge sums of money for reelection, and addressing resistance from within the ranks, says @JohnJHudak. https://t.co/tojqY2dUmY
"The U.S. House may never see another leader as capable and agile as Nancy Pelosi, but every Speaker from here forward should—above anything else—strive to replicate her leadership." - @JohnJHudak

Want a dose of inspiration this Thanksgiving?
Check out the 1st episode of Reimagine Rural to hear how local people are brainstorming, innovating, & breathing new economic life into my old stomping grounds of Shamokin Pennsylvania, a coal town that's fallen on hard times.
Whether you agree with her politics or not, it is undeniable that Nancy Pelosi has been a remarkably effective House leader, writes @JohnJHudak. https://t.co/tojqY2dmxq

In competitive House districts, Trump-endorsed Rs ran 7 pts worse than unendorsed, relative to expectations. Trumpy candidates cost the GOP much-needed seats, most likely including NC-13, OH-9, OH-13, PA-8, and WA-3. Maybe also MI-3, NH-1. Probably AK. https://t.co/EswljxQTBM
I’m extremely glad to see ranked choice voting expanding to Nevada, with proposals for it becoming more and more common across the country. RCV is the way forward — a way of letting us vote for who we want, rather than just voting against who we don’t. It makes us all better off.
How might Trump's 2024 run differ from his past runs in 2016 and 2020?
"Expectations are high. He is a former president. I think most people, while they would like to write Donald Trump off, recognize that they can't simply do that." - @JohnJHudak
🚨 Congress just passed its first marijuana bill.
@SenSchumer took the podium tonight to usher through the Medical Marijuana and Cannabidiol Research Expansion Act, which passed by unanimous consent.
The bill passed the House in July, and now heads to Biden's desk.
