Why does Intel Foundry matter more than you think?
In his latest deep dive, @anshelsag breaks down how Intel 18A, Panther Lake, and Clearwater Forest could reshape the global semiconductor landscape
1. Intel’s 18A process → productized
2. Shift from TSMC to in-house CPU + GPU tile production
3. Cost savings + packaging innovations = margin & scale
4. Real OEM ecosystem impact + potential mobile disruption
5. TSMC price pressures might finally meet competition

From Goldman:
We see significant upside to 2026 estimates for Nvidia, and are comfortable in risk/reward as "circular" deals represent less than ~15% of revenue in 2027E. We see a strong runway of growth from core customers, plus upside from non-traditional customers $NVDA $INTC
Looking at another angle, during the peak of railway expansion in the 1800s, the U.S. government invested the equivalent of 6% of GDP in establishing tracks.
So the AI Capex is basically nothing
Just met with President Trump to announce a historic agreement: the U.S. government is investing $8.9B in @Intel to boost American semiconductor leadership.
I’m excited about the work ahead to ensure the most advanced silicon technology and computing products of the future are designed and built right here in the USA.
Thank you @potus and @howardlutnick for the confidence you have in Intel to deliver for our country.
A 10% stake would place the USG among Intel’s largest shareholders, but it wouldn’t grant outright control of the company
What do I think?
It doesn't matter how much money USG invests on $INTC, it is about USA wants Intel, needs Intel.
