Building AI products. Ex. PM @Spotify | MLE @Spotify @BabylonHealth. Post about tech, mainly AI, and personal experiments. Sometimes wisdom from elsewhere
@drfeifei Is Marble closer to a renderer than a simulator as it doesn't encode information that determines how the world changes in response to action?
Is the argument it implicitly must understand the world to create a 3d environment? Is that testable other than visual coherence?
Excellent wisdom from @luebken on designing robust agents. Prompting is never enough to prevent model blunders.
"if the agent has the tool, you need to assume it will eventually use it."
What an unbelievable opportunity to peer into the mind of one of the great film makers @bfl_ai. Only wish more of his insights were made available.

What has become possible with LLMs is truely mind-boggling. Even when coding, I can just ask the agent to quickly create a clean webpage to explain its changes. Could even take it further to produce audio / interactive summaries of our last sessions.
Claude appears to have become overly cautious. Seeing a lot of phrases like, "I want to be honest here — I spoke with more confidence than I should have"
@thinkwithmark I really like this new spin on the bookmark. nice idea. Now let me have a conversation with my books on the go and I'm in. I've obsessed over connecting ideas since memex.
The bitter lesson in 26 words:
Don’t be distracted by human knowledge, as AI has been historically.
Instead focus on methods for creating knowledge that scale with computation, like search and learning.
In the real world, we don't tend to speak in long paragraphs; we point and say: "fix this" or "move that". 💬
By combining gestures with speech, it lets you use natural shorthand to complete tasks.
That’s not the same with live action where we can only film what exists. VFX helps expand the canvas but animation still provides a space for infinite imagination to be brought to life.
I love animation. For me it’s never been a childish medium. It’s a medium that has allowed for wildly imaginative storytelling free from the restraints of the real world. A precursor to today’s generative models. Whatever the mind could imagine we could draw it.
The way we consume information is going to drastically change. Most will come through AI. And we can simply ask our AI to present an article in a way that is engaging for us. Here is a demo of a BBC article converted into a data chart for easier consumption.
