Subtle differences, NHL plays 82 games a year , NFL 17 then the playoffs , 1 game each for NFL , each is a 7 game series in NHL as they progress. Hits in NFL occur at running speed, NHL at skating speeds with boards to be jammed against. A football rarely hurts someone , pucks travel at 100+mph and often hurt players.
@adamtaggart Yeh the Strait is open! But it was open before the war, and they still have their nuclear material and it's back to negotiations with Iran? 🙄
@ryangerritsen Tim Hortons was a great Cdn franchise that is a shell of itself , always looking for the cheapest labor with foreign hires at below market wages. Place sucks now a days , turned away from the country it was born in!
FFS, climate changes, always has. Meantime using a fake man made narrative as a political hammer to force Cdns to adhere to progressive policy is killing our economy! The elite don't care, all good for them, they love big govt! Next their job is to silence critics, just as they did to the fossil fuel companies in Canada. Fascists!
By the way Elon came to Canada because he was already a Cdn citizen at birth ( by virtue of Cdn mother) to escape mandatory South African military service when he turned 18. Spent two years in Canada and then off to Univ. of Pennsylvania on a scholarship. Push for EV's by Democrats help launch Tesla later in life
Elon worked hard for it, is very smart but was totally dependent on EV subsidies, gov't grants and EV regulations to make Tesla and Space X work. No denying that! Emission credits paid to Tesla by other auto companies were big revenues for Tesla forced on them by government on ongoing basis. He admits without that govt assistance Tesla wouldn't have survived
Several explosions heard near Qeshm Island and Sirik, southern Iran, with initial reports of Iran striking targets in the Strait of Hormuz, per Mehr News.
Congress codified the USMCA, constitutionally they own tariff agreements, unilateral withdrawl by Trump , he may declare it but unlikely to win at the Supreme Court. Business will make sure it gets there, quick. Just like his first round of tariffs and he ended up back on the USMCA with Canada within two weeks, quietly
@MatthewWielicki 2/3 of earth is water, areas like the Arctic, Antarctica, Africa, Siberia, unoccupied earth either poorly or not measured at all. They and their models just make it up from extremely poor, unreliable data, such statistical BS!
Trump lives in a world of fantasy. Trade outside of energy is balanced between Canada and the US , that means hundreds of thousands of US jobs are dependant on Cdns buying their goods. Trade is not a one way street, only in Trumps mind! They have a surplus in dairy with Canada and yet he whines constantly about dairy?
Few have seen more in their energy careers than Amos Hochstein, and his intimate familiarity with the US SPR makes this qualified comment so important to understand:
"I don't know anyone who believes [the US SPR] can go below 300MM barrels."
Sitting at 349MM Bbls and drawing ~8MM Bbls/week, the market essentially has 6 weeks of safety buffer left, reinforcing the point that the WH did not anticipate the Strait remaining closed for 100+ days and front-loaded all of their emergency measures. We are hurtling into the wall at 150mph yet the 37 proclamations of "imminent peace" has lulled Wall Street into a profound sense of complacency. All signs point to "critical" in July.
How hypocritical! US imports $460b annually from China, allows high end chips exported to China, imports $52b of Chinese made smartphones each year. Mexico imports more than 300k Chinese vehicles each year. The US imports 100+k Chinese made vehicles each year. Not a peap on all of that , but how dare Canada import 49k Chinese vehicles!
