So sad to hear that Clarence Henry has died. What an injection of pure joy I feel every time his signature song is played. Thank you for reliably lifting my spirits so often, Clarence https://t.co/rV1sWKWJDX
@geoff_quincy Hi Geoff, to add important context, I cannot confirm my true ranking in the class hardness/softness rankings, because barely anyone ever actually had a fight. Even the kids who were considered fearsome tough nuts did nothing more fearsome than steal ice pops from the corner shop.
@FootballCliches Sky Sports have three times called Destiny Udogie “a lucky boy” after his two-footed challenge only got a yellow card.
How old does one have to be to get labelled a “lucky man” in such circumstances?
@LucyABeaumont @JahDuran Great post. But where is this posh coffee you speak of, Lucy? I live in central London and even I have yet to encounter these cups of coffee costing £5+ , yet I hear so much about them…
So much to love about this #ChallengeCupFinal. A thrilling game, and most importantly of all for rugby league fans, SO MUCH TO MOAN ABOUT. Which is of course what rugby league fans love to do most of all
@FootballCliches I would like to know if sky sports’ text commentators are instructed in their style guide to use “Game on!” every single time anyone equalises in the first half or pulls a goal back from 2-0 down. And are those the only circumstances when it can be used?
Is there some way the government could step in and break news of great musicians’ deaths at a maximum frequency of only once a week maximum? Just seems way over that right now and we need a decent period of mourning for each of them. Just too overwhelming. #ripcroz
@Dannydeathdisco Cantona had the biggest impact. Ronaldo was and is brilliant (and probably a better player pound for pound) but only a year or two at his absolute peak with us. And he’s obviously shat the bed now. Best was a completely different era so hard to compare really
So sad to hear Mimi Parker of @lowtheband has died. Not many musicians who mostly just sang backing vocals made such a memorable sound for so long. Rest in peace.

Hearing that Johnson is getting booed and heckled by British holidaymakers on his Greek trip has cheered me up no end. It will not get shown in the UK of course but Italian TV just now had a British man shouting,
"Get back to work you fat ponce"

https://t.co/d19BW8jUD0 one of these words has been used three times in as many months. Triple bluffed. Or their dictionary is running out
@Ian_Fraser@UniKent@MrSplendiferous Agree with every word. Unlike this obviously fabricated load of lies from the right wing press about him: https://t.co/TzOUKQ0FAZ
