Excellent experience from the beginning to the end! I enjoyed my time this weekend attending the Inaugural Public Leadership Research Summit at UMD's School of Public Policy. Thank you Cullen C. Merritt, @johnron, and the IPL team for the invitation and the opportunity!!!
Democrats have been talking up Wes Moore quite a bit lately.
We took a look at why a lot of Dems feel he’s the one to lead them out of the wilderness.

"While Trump retains the ceremonial position of Head of State, signing executive orders with flourish and basking in symbolic pageantry, Musk has effectively become Head of Government, wielding unprecedented control over federal agencies." -@johnron https://t.co/wOvuayBPqq
NEW: Elon Musk's position to reform the federal government is an unprecedented attempt to split the traditional role of the president and create a shadow government that fundamentally alters our constitutional order, argues John C. Ronquillo of @IPLatUMD. https://t.co/9Axr6VBYwc
As the Trump administration moves to dramatically reduce and reshape the federal workforce, Howard County is standing up resources for government workers facing job loss or disruption. https://t.co/com5Uojpo6
More slash and burn: the Federal Executive Institute is being eliminated. This effectively kills a fundamental and crucial program for leadership development and training in our government. https://t.co/zxLAXAZS61
You cannot tell us nothin’. Seriously on cloud TEN. Many MANY thanks to our Journalism Alumni Network, @merrillcollege@UMDPublicPolicy@johnron@PositivelyBrie @meganpratz @media_politics for what truly was a successful evening. SO MUCH MORE to come.
We’re proud to announce that 18 of our faculty and staff will be representing the University of Maryland School of Public Policy at the 2024 Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (@naspaa) Annual Conference in D.C. this week! 🌎 https://t.co/QfsHjxPkip
I lived in Aurora, CO for nearly a decade. I narrowly lost an at-large city council seat there in ‘21 because I was outspent 10:1 by those fueling the hyperbolic lies Trump is telling. Aurora has always had a conservative majority on council. Trump knows nothing about Aurora.
Donald Trump opens the debate falsely claiming that migrants are "taking over" the "town" of Aurora, Colorado. City leaders and Aurora Police have said a Venezuelan gang has not taken over apartment buildings, let alone the entire city of Aurora, population 400,000. #copolitics
