Today my class full of Sneetches were visited by a guest reader, school board and United Way member, Mr. Buddy Armour. They enjoyed listening to him read Dr. Seuss’s Sneetches, Mr. Armory’s favorite Dr. Seuss book! @MVESbobcats#Ignitelearningbcps
Average Teachers say, "Look at me!" "Watch what my class can do!" "Vote for me!"
Great Educators say, "Look at you!" "Look at what your class can do!" "You're awesome!"
{big difference}
Encouraging words never get old. Ever. If you want to make a difference for someone… build them up with your words. They don’t have to be special words… or profound words. They just have to be from the heart.
When you are slow to judge and quick to listen… when you assume the best intentions of your colleagues… you make yourself a great team player. And you single handedly play a role in elevating the morale of the faculty.
Do you send all your discipline problems to the office? Stop giving your power away! It's time to re-establish YOURSELF as the one in charge of your classroom.
