@CreativeDima The building part I’ve got. Getting anyone to notice is my current learning curve lol. Do you lean more toward design or code these days?
@Jacobmalherbe21 You got it. Error monitoring tied to alerts too. If your logs are usually quiet and suddenly errors start piling up, you want to know before a customer tells you.
Daily tip for solo builders: ever paid for a service, hit a bug, and spent hours trying to reach someone while it stayed broken?
Remember that feeling when you’re building yours.
How will you know something’s wrong? Who gets alerted? What happens while you’re asleep?
Set up monitoring, alerts and a way for customers to reach you before you need them. Your first paying customer shouldn’t also be your first outage alert.
7 days until we head to New Orleans for our 23rd anniversary 🥂
Then a week off building and making friends on X.
Can we hit 1K before we leave? Day 3 here, plenty of room for more devs and fellow troublemakers 😂 Let's connect.
@riish008 Haha all good, I’m just giving you a hard time 😂 wishing you all the best with the switch! We throw out dev tips here too, mixed in with everything else we’re building Club Spite for. Hopefully a few help along the way 😊
@riish008 Super senior makes me sound like I need help crossing the road 😂 happy to share what I know though. What made you switch from life science to coding?
@SubhadipShips Building Club Spite, a place to vent about stuff that pisses you off. Also dabbling in game engines because apparently one project wasn’t enough lol. What’s your current 2 AM project?
@riish008 30 years in tech, I’ve forgotten more than I can remember lol. React’s a good choice, you can do a lot with it. I’m starting to dabble in game engines now, apparently I needed more things to figure out 😂
Day 3 here and 45 away from 300 👀
If you followed me and I missed you, give me a nudge.
If I followed you and you’re not interested in connecting, no hard feelings if I disappear from your follower count 😂
Here to meet people and actually talk.
