Here, this young boy tells us he has heard about The Sameer Project's new water desalination plant. Like so many families, he is waiting for it to open because he knows what it could mean: shorter walks, cleaner water, and one less impossible burden for children like him.

A Palestinian father, Odeh Abu Khamash, says his son Mohammad’s body has been lying on the ground just 300 meters away from the grave where he was meant to be buried, but the family has been unable to retrieve him.

According to the family, Israeli forces killed Mohammed and have continued firing at anyone attempting to reach the area, preventing them from recovering his body.

His mother has been risking her life daily, carrying a white flag near the Yellow Line in the central Gaza Strip, leaving at dawn and returning after sunset in the hope of bringing her son home.
