Why do we in America call it the DEFENSE industry? Semantically it should be more like OFFENSE industry or if you want to go neutral just call it the WAR industry. We are not defending the motherland here. We are augmenting the US military which flexes US power outside of the US.

Was coding with opus 5 today and it added a comment to my codebase with the word "person" in it. Except instead of english it accidently wrote only that word in russian. Then non-chalanty said "A stray non-English word slipped into that comment." Was unsettling.

@RealAdamHunt I think I agree with this. Being a developer and using these models daily, it truly is getting better and better at software, but doesnt actually feel like I'm talking to something extremely generally intelligent.
