The thing about 24 that bothers me most is…
Who is this for?
It’s not because TV was begging for it. ESPN had to be convinced.
It’s not for a boatload of new cash. Losing conf champ games is gonna make this a minimal gain.
It’s not because the 22nd team has any shot at a natty. It doesn’t.
It’s certainly not done with the health, safety, or academic success of the players in mind since they don’t even get a say in this.
It’s entirely to appease the people donating the money that keeps a financially irresponsible business model afloat. It’s discounting success so schools can say “look what your donation bought.”
It’s an industry hellbent on treating investors and bosses as the customer, and customers as an infinite resource that will keep coming back no matter what.
@TheMetsX What’s worse is the game went to commercial after this play and had several minutes to review. Not to mention our medical staff was clearly evaluating a head injury during the break.
@jimdunaway Yeah, that’s mediocrity at its finest. Accept that we need to have a better plan and execute the plan. This is exhibit A on why he’s not on any major programs short list for potential head coach.
I can’t even have College Gameday on in the background while I hang out with my kids on Saturday morning anymore. Lost count of the number of curse words Pat has let out in the first 5 minutes of the show. Ridiculous and unnecessary for a show I used to love so much.
@cometcalls The price for sin is death. That price must be paid. You can choose to pay for your sin, or accept Jesus’s perfect sacrifice and allow Him to cover your debt. Salvation is a gift. Freely given and freely received. Jesus is Lord!
@CFBNerds Had this conversation the other day and the consensus was if I had to choose between Julian and Keelon, Keelon has a higher ceiling. If Ty has a good year, I think we’ll end up better off down the road
