We are honored to create this in partnership with an incredible cast of real Shine members and teachers—and it brings to life one very important message: We are a movement of people who have had enough of being overlooked. Learn more here ➡️ https://t.co/XrdXxhVSBi
Incredibly proud of and grateful for this team. 💛 Today we're sharing our first tv ad and it's for anyone who's felt left out and overlooked by mental health and wellness before.
This ad is for anyone who feels the daily stress they carry is overlooked, ignored, or disregarded.
Shine is a daily self-care app for *all* of us—because we all deserve a seat at the table. We all deserve to live freely. We all deserve to prioritize our mental health.
On Monday, July 27th, join us for a day of free wellness and healing events with @ethelsclub—including an evening conversation about self-care with Shine's co-founders @marahml and @Naomi_NYC and Ethel's Club founder @najjmahal! 🚨

“Being Black in America is tantamount to death by a thousand cuts. If you believe that Black Lives Matter, I challenge you to also believe and fight for Black mental health.” Read our cofounder @MarahML’s powerful & personal op-ed in @MarieClaire: https://t.co/dlUouGiniJ
Recently, VC firms have publicly claimed in the press to be stepping up their game to help and fund Black start-up founders. That wasn’t the experience for Nerissa Zhang, founder of @TheBrightApp. https://t.co/6keWO8bYJt
We were honored to be featured this weekend on @CBSThisMorning, sharing what we at Shine HQ are doing to help people—especially those who are marginalized—care for their mental health. Thank you for this thoughtful segment @CBSMMiller ✨ https://t.co/aRF03jXTUm via @CBSNLive
a few friends and i made a lil' chrome extension to integrate anti-racist action into your daily life! when you open a new tab, it shows places to donate/sign, articles to read, and work by Black artists!! share, learn n enjoy ✨ https://t.co/id4701IEzg
Same. We will not reach equality for black people in our industry without including black women, and VC has the most work to do with black women. End of story.
This isn't a disgruntled Twitter mob of underperforming former employees complaining about a boss being cruel to them. The behavior was unacceptable. The trauma is real. And the work of CTL is too important to allow room for leadership that exhibits repeated patterns of abuse.
Everything in this thread & hashtag. It's really disappointing and infuriating how Nancy & friends' response is to attempt to discredit the POC voices and more who've shared stories and to ignore the real pain and trauma she caused #NotMyCrisisTextLine https://t.co/GUrthOfBRI
if you are an engineer and are feeling like a sad boi about changing your master branch name away from master because it could be "confusing" for new people since it's not an "industry norm".... THE WHOLE POINT IS TO CHANGE INDUSTRY NORMS
I worked at DS for 5 yrs and I'm ashamed that I stayed silent, despite witnessing the trauma and abuse my coworkers faced, because of the privilege I had that allowed me to stand idly by within a culture I benefited from. You all deserved better. @crisistextline deserves better.
I stand in solidarity with current and former CTL and DS staff who are demanding change and accountability from Nancy and leadership. I'm encouraged by and grateful for their bravery in doing what I was too unwilling to call out before #NotMyCrisisTextLine https://t.co/CnYbKgkV3E
But enough is enough. Racist, abusive behavior can no longer be brushed under the rug. BIPOC employees deserve better. People in crisis deserve better. I stand with @CrisisTextLine staff who staged a walkout today to demand the resignation of Nancy Lublin. #notmycrisistextline
