@615Vol@CraigGrafx Yeah and if you think pass pro was bad with G Mac then you are either blind or don’t have a damn idea what good pass pro looks like.
They ran a play action and hit Mike Matthews ONCE on time and the run and pass game opened up.
The run game was dead until Mac.
THIS. Then they don’t play well, get benched, whatever it is and they transfer.
Kid turned 18 in June. Played HS football 1 year ago, and got absolutely smoked last week in his first SEC game.
He is a good kid, but he needs to develop. Unfair to put him in the position he was in
This is what happens now that money is involved with these young athletes. You’re no longer given the grace you deserve, you’re expect to play to the standard of money you’re being given, this ain’t it…
@ItsLeland I mean, Nico is playing to a 141 rtg this year. The guys who are going to come in and blow everyone away as a true freshman are UNBELIEVABLY rare and were calling it concerning 😂
@ItsLeland Lmao. How many freshman phenoms hit? The bust rate is ridiculous among “phenoms”. Maybe if we’d let them develop, sit, and learn they’d be better off. It’s not like GMac is some scrub he was a 4 star
@VolRumorMill It’s just the difference in a year of maturity and in the system. Being 18 and trying to process 2x faster than you ever have before is tough. Faizon will be okay, but GMac has to be the move right now.
@thevolknower@JoshuaMNik It’s being 18 and used to HS football. The kid just isn’t ready for good P4 football and that’s okay. Gmac had an extra year to learn and it shows. He’ll probably be the guy going forward
@JoshuaMNik@thevolknower Yes it does work. Because it’s true. You don’t see true freshman process the game well at Q. But take him off the field. Let G Mac play
