Sometimes, kids make bad choices. Sometimes, they really screw up. We hold them accountable... but we can also extend some grace. They need to know we still like them. They need to learn a lesson... but it is never constructive when they feel alienated from us.
Introducing negatives at earlier ages may make them less scary for students. And subtraction may be an easier concept. Why don't they see it this way as well?
Ss made "cheat sheets" during the study guide to help them focus during the test. They only included what they thought they needed. Then I got a chance to add a little more motivation and love. #iteachmath#CelebrateTheDifferences
