@alanmilburn1958 its rare that I post but did you consider that the governments lack of support for young adults looking to enter employment, lack of support for SME businesses and increased costs for businesses that chokes growth and expansion might be more of a contributing factor ?
Or is it just easier to jump on the band wagon and blame social media for all the governments failings ? Yes we have a social media problem but we also have a fake news problem and a looming economy problem and a government that is in disarray because the man at the top has lost the respect of his party and the country.
Stop blaming social media, and immigration and the hundred other things for this countries problems. Have you considered that we might have a social media problem because young adults have no future and no opportunity to get into work because the government has consistently failed them and the rest of the country.

Yet another 6 days have gone past (over a month wasted so far, 7 months if you count I reported this in May last year!)
I have emailed the Executive Office in Centrica 3 times and not got a response
I have called the British Gas complaints team repeatedly
I have conversed with 7 people at British Gas on X direct messaging
I have had one phone call from the complaints team who promised me a call back 4 days ago
Another half a day wasted trying to resolve the situation
And how further forward am I ? I'm not nothing has changed since I reported this over a month ago.
Does British Gas even care ? Do you have any idea of the stress and anxiety this is causing not getting this resolved ? it may seem trivial to you but it isn't to me. Your mistake has, quite literally, cost me thousands.

So @BritishGas, @BritishGasHelp, @SkyNews, @centricaplc here I am nearly 10 days later (over a month since contacting BG) and I’m no further forward. I’ve wasted days going round in circles explaining the same thing over and over again and receiving promises of call backs and resolutions that simply never materialise. No wonder you report so much profit it’s from all the customers that you overcharge and end up just giving up because your customer service is doing nothing but stonewalling and hiding behind processes designed to obstruct customers. You act like petty #thieves and #conartists

@ofgem is this the standard of service you expect from your member @britishgas ? This has cost me literally thousands as well as all stress and anxiety from going round in circles

The saga continues have now spent another hour on the phone trying to get this sorted after @BritishGas asked for a “burn” test at a property I don’t live at. Oh and to add insult to injury they have closed my account and now I can’t even go online to view my statement and bills. Thankfully I have copies already. A total total disgrace.
@BritishGasHelp@BritishGas@ofgem So I'm no into day 3 of awaiting a call back from BG regarding a complaint I submitted 2 weeks ago where I find out I've been paying the electricity bill for another property. Up to now I've requested numerous phone calls from the complaints team with no phone call and I've been cut off half a dozen times by the customer services team. This is not great service considering I'm owed over £2,500 back and nobody seems to be taking responsibility. Its an absolute shambles!
To be honest you should all be disgusted with yourselves we live in a world where children’s education has become a pawn for political point scoring. We live in a world where, unless you pay exorbitant fees, children’s education is a lottery not because teachers arnt hard working but because they are over worked, classes are over subscribed and children’s mental health is virtually useless with an over 18 month wait for some assessments. Stop the point scoring, stop the time wasting and act. Stop hiding behind this government or that government. Stop hiding behind political statements and get more teachers and more support.
Caring for our children shouldn’t mean paying for private schools, caring for our children shouldn’t mean having to choose between what to get support with.
Children are this countries most valuable resource they will be come the scientists, engineers, innovators, entrepreneurs, healthcare workers, teachers, soldiers and yes politicians and we as a collective are failing them everyday because we can’t fund our education system. We would rather waste huge amounts of money than invest it in the things that make a difference like education, the environment and healthcare. I fear for the future and the the legacy we will leave our children.
