Yesterday, Jonica Foundation and @RizikiSource officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking an important step towards strengthening collaboration and creating greater opportunities for inclusion, empowerment and community impact.
The partnership brings together Jonica Foundation’s commitment to supporting and empowering women, mothers and vulnerable communities with Riziki Source’s work in supporting and creating opportunities for persons with disabilities (PWDs).
Through this MoU, the two organizations aim to work together to promote inclusive opportunities, access to support, skills development, economic empowerment and improved participation of persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in society.
This collaboration is also an opportunity to amplify voices that are often left out of important conversations and create practical pathways that enable individuals and communities to become more empowered and self-reliant.
We believe that meaningful change happens when organizations come together, share resources, knowledge and expertise, and work towards a common goal.
Here’s to a partnership built on inclusion, dignity, empowerment and equal opportunity.
Jonica Foundation × Riziki Source — Together, creating more inclusive opportunities and stronger communities.

Yesterday, the world marked the International Day of Peace under the theme “Invest in peace—for everyone, everywhere, every day.”
At @Jonica_F, we believe investing in peace means investing in people: a woman accessing healthcare without stigma, a teenage mother gaining skills to earn a living, and a young person having a voice in decisions that shape their future.
Through women’s health advocacy, youth skills development, economic empowerment and community dialogue, we work towards communities where dignity, safety and opportunity are within everyone’s reach.
The day has passed, but the responsibility continues. Let us invest our time, resources and actions in peace, every day.

Ambassador Spotlight: @lynnomondi | Homa Bay County
35 people reached, including 20 girls and 2 persons with disabilities, through 2 reported activities.
Our Homa Bay County SRHR Ambassador, Lynn Omondi, is helping young people speak openly about menstrual health, challenge myths and support one another.
Through an interactive school outreach session, she engaged girls and boys on menstrual hygiene, puberty, body changes and dignity.
One memorable moment? One boy confidently demonstrated how to wear a sanitary pad, helping challenge stigma and encouraging his peers to join the conversation.
Lynn also participated in a coordination meeting with MAY-LID to strengthen collaboration on SRHR and community development in Homa Bay County.
Her outreach highlighted the need for menstrual products, regular SRHR education and supportive school environments where no girl feels ashamed of her period.
Lynn, thank you for creating space for learning, confidence and understanding. We celebrate you!

Ambassador Spotlight: @VivianOucho | Homa Bay County
25 girls and 8 women reached through 4 reported activities, and conversations that brought boys into the SRHR discussion too!
Vivian, our Homa Bay County SRHR Ambassador, is taking sexual and reproductive health and rights conversations into schools and the community.
📚 At Kokwanyo Comprehensive School, she engaged girls on menstrual hygiene, STIs and PMOS, while involving boys in discussions about personal hygiene and supporting girls to overcome menstrual stigma.
❤️ Through community conversations, she explored women’s experiences of menopause and the need for information and support.
🤝 In Kitare, she engaged the MAY-LID CBO team on collaboration around SRHR, youth leadership and community outreach.
She also conducted confidential referrals for HIV/STI services and mental health and psychosocial support, helping connect awareness with access to care.
Vivian, thank you for showing up, listening and creating space for these important conversations. We celebrate you! ❤️

🌟 Next in our Ambassador Spotlight: @Kabangumartha | Kilifi County
78 girls. 7 women. More than 5 activities advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights in July.
Meet Martha, our Kilifi County SRHR Ambassador, whose work is creating opportunities for girls to ask questions, understand their rights and learn where to seek support.
📚 School outreach: At Kibaoni Primary Junior School, Martha introduced girls to SRHR and facilitated an open Q&A session, addressing gaps in knowledge about their health and rights.
🤝 Community collaboration: At Kiwandani Secondary School, she engaged peer mentors on opportunities to strengthen community SRHR education. She also exchanged insights with volunteers from TICAH and the Kilifi Youth Advisory for Health.
📱 Digital advocacy: Martha shared SRHR information through WhatsApp groups and joined a virtual stakeholder session to exchange knowledge with others working in the field.
Her outreach highlighted concerns about menstrual stigma, fear of reporting gender-based violence and uncertainty about where to access services. Girls also learned about available support, including the Auntie Jane Hotline.
Martha, thank you for helping make these conversations possible and bringing girls’ questions to the centre of your work. We celebrate you! ❤️👏

🌟 CSA's SPORTLIGHT: PART 1
In July 2026, @EkeyaMaryl46720 , our Nairobi County SRHR Ambassador, brought sexual and reproductive health conversations into schools, community spaces and regional advocacy platforms.
50 young people reached, including 30 young women equipped with SRHR information, alongside regional advocacy connecting young women across 5 African countries.
Here’s a glimpse of her work:
📍 Ruaraka school outreach: Delivered age-appropriate comprehensive sexuality education at a primary school, giving learners space to ask questions and access information.
❤️ Menstrual health awareness: With partnership from another organization and friends, engaged adolescent boys and girls at a children’s facility in discussions about menstruation, sexuality and health. Participants shared how much they valued having an open space to ask questions that had been on their minds.
🌍 Regional advocacy: Co-convened “The Bleeding Point” webinar with young women across five African countries. The discussions informed a communiqué for duty bearers to support legislation and policy development.
Her activities also brought attention to concerns about consent, menstrual health conditions and inadequate water, sanitation and hygiene facilities in schools.
Marylyne, thank you for bringing young people’s questions and experiences into these conversations. We’re proud to celebrate your contribution! 👏
