"They just said, we found Emily. She's dead. I went, 'Yes!' and smiled, because that is the best news of the possibilities I knew. She was either dead or in Gaza. And if you know anything about what they do to people in Gaza, that is worse than death."
Emily was 8.

@EdwardDeLavigne@TheAkoFiles That’s not true. If you’re an openly gay teacher or student you can be fired/expelled for being openly gay. It’s is a discrimination that is protected under law (if the schools deems it against their ethos) despite receiving public funds.
@KarlPil79013471@TheAkoFiles@1rorycowan That’s not true. You can be fired as a teacher or expelled as a student for being openly gay if the school deems it against their ethos. Most schools are religious schools in receipt of public funds
@FroderickF59295@TheAkoFiles Religious schools can dismiss openly gay teachers and students as they do not fit their ethos. Most schools are religious schools receiving public funds
@TheAkoFiles You don’t have the right to attend or teach in most schools based on merit. One could be the most qualified & professional at their job but if we are openly gay we can be dismissed as it is against the ethos of the school. The same goes for pupils. Despite receiving public funds
@rtenews This from a president who presided over a 2 tier legal system with a juryless special criminal court the use of which is based on the word of a single Garda officer. The Irish people are such hypocrites, live in a morally bankrupt society & are completely unaware of their racism
@gaeltachtlar@PhelimMcAleer@annmcelhinney As someone of mixed Irish and Iraqi Jewish heritage, who has lived in Ireland 36 years since birth, I can say the Irish have always been an anti-Jewish society. Perhaps you weren’t aware of it because it wasn’t overt or directed against you.
@antonia_leslie@YWalsh3@ThatJohnJones Im of Iraqi Jewish & Irish ethnicity and I have lived in Ireland all my life. Irish society has always been an antisemitic & from what I can see will always be so. At one time much less so than others but at best Jews have always been seen as a second class ‘other’.
@PhilipProudfoot Tell that to the millions dead in Sudan or Yemen. The worst crime of the 21st century is no one giving a damn and staying silent to bash Israel while those men women and children die in their millions.
@SimonHarrisTD@dfatirl Stop wasting time with this and work to house the citizens of our country. You are a disgrace and in time will usher in a government of populists to the detriment of us all.
@irlambberlin Dont waste the German authorities' time regarding Irish citizens who refuse to follow instructions from police there. You are compounding the disgrace in how that Irish citizen comported themselves. Youre paid to promote Irish interests & foster good relations with the German gov
@PokemonGoApp I've enjoyed playing Pokémon go every day for years. This is the first time I've been bitterly disappointed. Spent €21.49 on a ticket and €50+ on raids. Not a single shiny. No lucky trinket as I could only reach rank 51. This is not the way guys. We deserve better.
@pokemongoappuk I caught no shines playing over a week. Only reached rank 51. Research events shouldnt be timed. I paid €21.49 for a lucky trinket. As I did not reach rank 100 I didnt unlock it & now the event has ended. I want a refund for my ticket. Pokémon GO has changed for the worse lately
@FineGael Its simple, treat house building as infrastructure investment. Pay building firms to come from abroad to build them. Have a state funded land buying scheme for this purpose with compulsory purchase orders & pay for it using the apple tax money. Finally build more social housing
@BitcoinBatman2 @MargaretD1993 @rtenews A guess: In 2020 (after 4 years of Trump) Dem voters came out to show their discontentment. By 2024 they felt sick of the likes of Biden & decided they just wouldnt bother coming out to vote. Likewise some 2020 Trump voters didn't vote perhaps due to his convictions/insurrection.
@_FeachNews@rtenews Oh so that makes it alright? Let me know if you support Jewish terror squads beating those who chant from the river to the sea, or death to Jews. Perhaps the Mossad should get onto that. Perhaps you think using violence to shut up people you dont like is how the world should be.
@rtenews Regardless of the chanting, there should not have been violence. Many fans would have had nothing to do with such utterances & yet they were beaten hearing "free Palestine" simply for being Israeli or Jewish. But I cant say I'm surprised with what happened or the response on here
@enantiodromiaz@kingston_dad@CherylWroteIt People like the devil they know. Did you expect African Americans after the civil war to want to go back to Africa? Some Jews wanted a state in their historic homeland, they got it & many Jews paid for it. Jews arent special but theyve never had security, they now do, thats great
@enantiodromiaz@kingston_dad@CherylWroteIt I love how you call exploitation/forced marriage & conversion 'relative peace'. I did a DNA test and found I'm related to many Arabs as well as Jews. I asked my father about it & he said the Arabs liked Jewish brides because they didn't have to pay their fathers dowries.
@enantiodromiaz@kingston_dad@CherylWroteIt By that logic Jews should only look after themselves & expel the Arabs within the land they now control. Jews bought the land they held before the war in 1948. Palestinian Arabs rejected the UN partition plan & the economic benefits of working with their Jewish neighbors.
