My handle "Fail to Reject" has a couple of meanings:
1. The statistical idea of "failing to reject the null hypothesis".
2. Related, my desire not to reject anyone because of their ideas, recognizing the need to make space for people to change their minds.

@TheMormonNews@alain7@jkimballcook In Reno area, at least at one point, our maintenance was outsourced to a company in Sacramento. It is 2-2.5 hours away. No matter how conscientious and well-organized they are, that's going to be a lower level of service.
I've just discovered the stats pages for the @Big12Conference MBB tournament from @StatBroadcast , and they are so much better than those on the websites of the companies who broadcast the games.
@Doxxylover@PinkneyAtLarge "As a young man, Burgess was one of the first four black athletes recruited to play football at the University of Miami and the third black student there to receive a scholarship, ultimately earning BS in biology and chemistry." https://t.co/oNeGz7PzxU Go get him, tiger!
A major update after 4 NCAA National Champions were crowned this past weekend.
Strong T&F showings put the @BYUCougars on top while the Oregon @GoDucks jump into the top 3.
4 more sports will name champions this coming weekend!
Who will be on top at this time next week?
@cowboyute11@jjfuller72 Weird, I thought you were all about the ROI. But since you've shifted to "games won" as the metric, BYU also won more than twice as many games as Utah and more than 4 times as many Big 12 games. Please feel free to shift to head-to-head record if you think that's the goal.
@cowboyute11@jjfuller72 Investments in BYU produced DOUBLE the attendance. But, yes, I'm sure if we dot all the "i"s and cross the "t"s on a formal ROI calculation, Utah will come out as the better investment.
@cowboyute11@jjfuller72 271,098 is 121% higher than 122,558. If I'm choosing to contribute to college basketball on the Wasatch Front, that's probably going to enter my ROI evaluation.
@DanEllsworthVA The desire by some to focus on that seems very "It's the unspoken truth of humanity, that you crave subjugation. The bright lure of freedom diminishes your life's joy in a mad scramble for power, for identity. You were made to be ruled. In the end, you will always kneel."
@DanEllsworthVA And King Benjamin's famous reference was specifically to draw attention from his own servant-leader kingship to the supremacy we should give to God in our lives.
@DanEllsworthVA Worth noting that the Book of Mormon extensively refers to Jesus by the Biblical terms "Christ (or Messiah)," "Son of God," "Lamb of God," "Holy One of Israel," "Savior," and "Redeemer" (OT and BoM only -- not NT!!) and only a handful of times as "King."
@sarapstem@BootsRiley FWIW, this discussion got me to watch the trailer for I Love Boosters, and it looks hilarious. If it is "socially corrosive," sometimes unbridled capitalism needs a little rust remover.
@sarapstem@BootsRiley If you found Winter Soldier and Civil War somehow glorifying war and the military industrial complex, I'm not sure what to tell you. The First Avenger was indeed very positive about an actual past war, one that most people agree was a good idea for us to fight.
