@MartinHowie@kj_macleod A great topic for research. Class sizes at my current school range 23-30 so I will be continuing to research and base pro-D around instruction in a larger setting. I'll keep in touch should anything valuable turn up!
As fellow educators, I am interested in your opinion on the push/pull factors that may cause teachers to leave the profession and how these can be remedied. This is an ongoing passion of mine and value your input!

@PerryWi89887224@greggerbs Also, an article which does a good job at outlining the discrepancy between secondary and post-secondary educational theory in which I was referring to.

@PerryWi89887224@greggerbs I love the new BC curriculum ideas around competency growth as it allows for much more individualized learning. I've always been curious about how this affects student success in our current post-secondary education system that is more content focused however, thoughts?
@MartinHowie@kendallchad@kj_macleod The school I will be moving into is device free for the entire day. Students do have access to laptops as an alternate to phones. I have heard it has been effective but am excited to see for myself as I value the use of technology in the classroom!
@DR_SIPPI Gamification is a very cool tool to increase student motivation. I had a colleague create his own online game he used in History 12 that aligned with the curricular competencies well. I'm interested to hear if anyone else has tried this in their class! #SummerED611
Being in administration in an offshore international school in China I have become passionate about teacher turnover and mentoring techniques. Found an interesting dissertation on the topic - long read but useful data! #summerED611@kj_macleod

@MartinHowie@kj_macleod Thanks for sharing Howard. SEL has been a large part of our pro-D in our system for the last 2 years. It's been run largely through our enrolling success room program and the SR teachers. Great resource and incredibly helpful for our modern students.
@CameronJenna @kj_macleod Thanks for the resource Jenna! I've used this idea in my own class a lot as a teacher, though I've always been the one doing the doodling. A very good style for ELL learners and vocabulary acquisition!
