This morning’s handover of 20 generators to the National Education Trust by MSC Foundation & MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is about more than equipment: it’s about people, communities, and Jamaica’s future. The initiative is in conjunction with Jamaica Vacations Limited, supporting schools that are still without electricity.

These generators ensure schools stay open, children keep learning, and communities remain resilient. Tourism is reaching beyond ports and ships, investing directly in our people.

Special thanks to MSC and the MSC Foundation. After Hurricane Melissa, they were among the first to step up, and today’s donation demonstrates their continued commitment to Jamaica’s recovery, education, and community wellbeing.

Partnerships like this show that tourism isn’t just economic growth, it’s a force for national development. Jamaica is grateful, Jamaica remembers, and Jamaica looks forward to even stronger collaboration ahead.
