WATCH THIS: "There is something profoundly cynical about asking God to solve a problem that we're not willing to solve ourselves." - Texas Rep. James Talarico
@KirstieMAllsopp@PhilSpencerTV Is rent-vesting common in the UK? I only ask because I regularly see the dilemma between a small flat in a trendy location vs long term family home in a quiet village on LLL. Surely rent-vesting is a solution, or am I missing something?
If we Christians somehow arrive at the conclusion that giving up some personal liberties for the sake of other people’s safety somehow makes us less free, then we have deeply misunderstood the cross.
@BradleyWhitford I don't understand the all or nothing approach to student debt? In Aus, the government will loan you money to study (interest free, just indexed annually for inflation). You don't have to pay until you earn over a certain threshold, then is automatically deducted
@HelenMaree4@melissablake I'm from Victoria, but living in California right now. There are no words for how sad and angry the handling (or lack thereof) of COVID in the US makes me. So many people have and will continue to die and it's completely unnecessary
I wish #MSNBC2020 would stop using the phrase, "Trump wants the voting to stop". Voting finished hours ago. They should be saying, "Trump wants them to stop counting the votes". #2020Election
@KirstieMAllsopp Yes, my dad who introduced me to WW also doesn't watch it (his father had a long and slow decline from Alzheimers which was very hard on us all). I've since watched it, but probably won't again. Look after yourself <3

Donald Trump: "It is what it is." Pathetic.
If you’re still wearing a mask, washing your hands, and staying away from people, please share this because sometimes people try to make me feel like I’m overreacting.
In exactly 100 days, President Trump can officially withdraw the U.S. from the #ParisAgreement. That’s the day AFTER the election - and a new President can get us right back in with 30 days notice. Elections matter! Please register to vote.
