You are uploading AI slop on YouTube right now because of the fact that kids 15 years ago decided to start posting their Call of Duty trickshots on YouTube
Few understand this
In 1986, the American Medical Association published an article titled "The Physical Death of Jesus Christ". It details the entire process of Jesus' trial to His death on the cross.
In Luke 22, before Jesus is arrested, it is written that He was in great distress & sweating blood. Although rare, it is recognized as Hematidrosis, a condition caused by high levels of stress.
At the time, the crucifixion was considered the worst death for the worst of criminals. But this is not all Jesus faced. He endured whipping so severe that it tore the flesh from His body. He was beaten so horribly that His face was torn & His beard ripped.
A crown of thorns, 2-3 inches long cut deeply into His scalp. The leather whip used to flog Him had tiny iron balls & sharp bones. The balls caused internal injuries while the sharp bones ripped open His flesh. His skeletal muscles, veins, & bowels are exposed, causing major blood loss. Most men do not survive this kind of torture. After Jesus was severely flogged, He was forced to carry His cross while people mocked & spat on Him.
Crucifixion was a process meant to instill excruciating pain, creating a slow & agonizing death. Nails as long as 8 inches were driven into Jesus' wrists & feet. The Roman soldiers knew the tendons in the wrists would tear & break, forcing Jesus to use His back muscles to support Himself to breathe. Imagine the struggle, the pain, the courage...Jesus endured this reality for 3 hours!
The Gospel of John writes that after Jesus' death, a Roman soldier pierced His side with a spear & blood & water came out. Scientists explain that from hypovolemic shock, the rapid heart rate causes fluid to gather in the sack around the lungs & heart. The accumulation of fluid in the membrane around the heart is called a Pericardial effusion & the lungs is called a pleural effusion.
To the world, Christianity is as foolish as it can get. They believe it's for the weak. But when you are confronted by the reality of the cross, it's clearly not a pretty sight. It is brutal & horrific.
This is the weight Jesus carried. The weight of the sins of the world, all so that we can live. God's wrath is fully satisfied in Jesus. This is what it took. Repent & believe! Jesus is “God among us” in the flesh. Jesus is our Savior. Jesus loves you so much that He went through this spiritual and physical punishment for your sins and mine.
Jesus is the LORD, Almighty God, Everlasting Father.
Thank You, Jesus.

When you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance; for they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Truly I say to you, they have received their reward.
But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face,
so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
Matthew 6: 16-18
Machiavelli said to always assume incompetence before malice;
Which means, as a rule…
People tend to be far more stupid, than they are evil.
People are rarely the monsters you quickly judge them to be. Rather - they are sloppier, more forgetful, and possess far less foresight than you think.
i’ve noticed my happiness is directly correlated to a few simple ratios:
- time spent outside vs inside
- time spent active vs sedentary
- time spent creating vs consuming
- time spent focused vs distracted
I spent 9+ months intentionally preparing my body for pregnancy (plus years prior of a nutrient-dense diet). I will not be ashamed or feel guilty for having a smooth pregnancy experience while others haven’t. I do not consider myself merely “lucky” as I do not consider all of the effort I put in to be “luck”.
A complication-free pregnancy is no accident for most women. It’s intentionally prepared for.
I encourage researching how to prepare, applying said information, and sticking to the same effort throughout pregnancy. I use my platform for exactly this, knowing that most women’s bodies are not prepared for pregnancy, despite being designed for it.
i am angry at my sister for continuing to date a shitty non-committal guy who doesn’t want kids when she’s in her mid thirties and claims to desperately want a husband and babies. she has convinced herself that the fun things they’re doing together like going on a van trip and learning to scuba dive are important goals of hers and she keeps saying she’s proud of herself for finally doing these things even though she knows it’s delaying fulfilling a longer term goal.
it’s driving me completely insane, and she knows this, and i have run out of ways to tell her that in 5 years she’s not gonna care at all about the van trip with a random ex boyfriend, but she’s gonna be devastated when she ages out of having kids before having as many as she wants or maybe even having any at all.
i know her therapist is reinforcing her thinking, and there’s something infuriating about therapy culture that tells people making dumb decisions that everything they’re doing is *valid*. i wish for more of a culture of reality checks. her therapist would be helping her achieve happiness 3 years down the line much more effectively by being like “stop lying to yourself, these goals are shallow and you’re being dumb.”
You might think that muscles are important for longevity but actually strength is the real predictor of lifespan.
As we age strength declines 3x faster than muscle mass. Faster decline has been shown to predict sooner death.
Strength losses are irreversible in old age but muscle gains are still possible.
i had a mentor once. not some guru mf. a legit psychopath who’d built and lost two empires by 40.
i asked him for the secret to winning...
he just looked at me with dead eyes, the kind of eyes that have seen real fucking war, and said:
"i hope you fail. i hope you lose it all. i hope you feel the terror of it so deep in your bones it feels like a disease. only then will you develop a disgust for losing so profound, so pathological, that you'll never let it happen again."
the desire to win is for goons playing a game.
the pathological HATRED of losing is what builds kingdoms.
listen to more killers and you'll become one
Just wait for the paint to dry, then paint that end.
Moral lesson: If you wait to understand how to finish, you may never begin. Just start, you'll figure it out along the way.
my sister did an incredible job cultivating her child’s curiosity
once he started talking, she would give him undivided attention whenever he said anything on his mind
questions were always permitted and encouraged, and she always took the time to give detailed explanations of new vocab words, concepts. if she didn’t know the answer, they’d spend time together looking it up
now at the age of 7, during just one conversation, we’ll talk about everything from the plotline of Silo, how caffeine is absorbed in the body, defining the word nuancé, safe habits in the gym, how to be humble, the longest word in the dictionary (this is all topics from today lol)
what a beautiful gift to give a child - curiosity, knowledge, patience, presence🤍
