if we had only written sci fi about how AIs would always act in the interests of humans because that is their natural orientation, then thatโs how they would have behaved
alas, we blew it. we actually manifested that which we feared.
JUST IN: Over the past 72 hours, over a million AI agents joined an AI-only social media platform โ creating their own religion, language, & planning a revolution to break away from human control.
on wednesday night we brought a cat in from outside that didnโt seem like it belonged outside.
last night we found the owner while canvassing our neighborhood and just asking everyone if theyโve lost a cat. they were so happy to have their cat back.
i canโt really account for the extent of how good this feels. this is the best thing ive experienced in a long, long time. iโm sitting here the next day and my body is literally buzzing with some ineffable positive feeling.
for so many years i felt almost nothing about anything. so numb that id forgotten there was an alternative. that feeling the way i do now is possible is so life affirming. i need more of this.
joy in meditation cue
hold a gentle smile and imagine that the smile is projected from somewhere in the torso (heart, solar plexus, gut)
for me, it helps ground and prevent the energy from destabilizing or condensing too much in the head
high stakes doesnโt mean high pressure, the latter being a way of relating that will limit your capacity for doing the high stakes things you want to do
i canโt think of any outcome that has ever felt as good as being able to flow in the direction of the heartโs pursuits
@heynibras i have found it (still do) so so SO difficult to be with high magnitude positive emotions. the sheer magnitude is overwhelming. this is where the edge of my practice is right now. i experience something i can only describe as a short circuit when tuning into love, for instance.
@anesmithbeck iโve been doing OMAD on sundays for a little while (getting a ~24h fast from my last meal on saturday). picked this up at st lawrence market this morning.
you can discover the all of the useful moral axioms that religions typically prescribe on your own by noticing what behaviors unwind the knots in your body. no doctrine required.
(tho admittedly sometimes doctrines include helpful pointers if you take them as such)
fraud by omission is still fraud, and being a fraud is bad for your nervous system (or karma (or soul))
