Want to know how I took several websites to 100K+ visitors/month using my technical writing and SEO knowledge?
Three things:
1. Green core vitals (if you don't have these, you won't rank well)
2. URL structure that clearly shows your information architecture
3. Topic-based content creation
Rinse and repeat.
@compulsivestart Google Search is designed to provide an accurate answer without you clicking on search results, hence Featured Snippets. The one thing they dont have is moving a more full product experience to search results. Like turning a doc -> pdf. Rather than relying on search results.
I've ingested a bunch of @paulg essays into a @pinecone database using GPT and @gpt_index
Now I can ask questions based on his opinion on topics, rather than just the generic "whole internet" opinion that GPT comes back with.
I think this... could be quite powerful!
@proetrie Wild how bloated the company became. I've talked to a few friends in senior positions at Google who think they need deeper cuts because the culture is too complacent.
@stephsmithio Only personalized webinars. For example, a live webinar training after you fill out onboarding questions. That way the training is geared specifically to your use case.
@briannekimmel It turns 'creativity' into 'strategy.' For example, creative writers will spend less time writing, and more time focusing on plot points and story structure to feed AI quality prompts.
@sandhya Soon, dentists will simply manage the robots that operate, clean, and research your mouth. No more hands using a pair of tools to hold my mouth open.
@stephsmithio@MarcLore Don't see this happening. Busy people and investors value quick voice conversations more because they optimize for time. Most people don't. They want to browse and actually enjoy browsing. Hence the term 'window shopping'
@hfyi53ko @proetrie Most 'new' documentation still needs technical writers at least for features, products, and services that don't have enough documentation to support enough AI training on their existence.
