@KatelynBeaty I’d consider reframing the issue as broader than, and not dependent on, the whiteness or maleness. No one is immune to the pull of power. I bet you’d find similar calls for “unity” — and reconciliation without repentance or repair — wherever the privileged feel uncomfortable.
