building permits are one of the most useful signals in real estate and also one of the hardest to use. the data is scattered and half the time it doesn't even match to a property.
I think you should be able to see the whole history of what happened to a house.
@mehdizare i mostly let claude code drive and hand the long running stuff off to cloud agents. how are you passing context between them, just a shared md file?
@ImLukeF same story with US county data, every county does its own thing and nothing lines up. are the council planning apps scrapeable or do some of them actually publish a feed?
an address seems like the simplest thing. it's not. the same house can be 12 main st, 12 main street, 12 n main st, or a lot number with no street at all. matching those up is a surprisingly big chunk of what we do
@mrr_nunya files for me. the forgetting part is what i haven't figured out, stale notes end up worse than no notes. how do you decide what gets dropped?
@rickyhorwitz agree. even boring stuff like property records is still spread across thousands of county sites, the models can't do much with data they can't reach
@jakemarsh i push the long running stuff to cloud agents so i'm not babysitting terminals. does taskhold catch the ones stuck on a permission prompt too?
question for people building agents: when your agent gets an answer from a tool, does it tell the user where the answer came from? I keep thinking the source should travel with the answer instead of getting dropped along the way
@geee_eth giving it a way to reach you instead of rebuilding the harness is the right call imo. does it wait for your answer or keep going and check back later?
I run most of propraven with AI agents and the part I didn't expect is how much of my job is now reviewing. I don't write much code anymore, I read a lot of it. still figuring out how to review faster without missing the stuff that matters
