In a product org, budgeting a project is insanity. The number that matters in your budget is the cost of the entire engineering org. Splitting that up into small chunks based on up-front planning and a belief that you can predict the future is nonsensical.
“While roadmaps appear to create certainty—you’re showing what will happen when—they actually create chaos. They set unrealistic expectations and destroy trust when you can’t uphold them.” - @ttorres

The power of the connextra format is not the format.
Also, stories don't have to be written that way. "As a... I Want...So That" is **NOT** an agile mandate.
You're supposed to know who needs what you're building, and how it is supposed to help them.
That's all.

@nurijanian A good PO is a PM that works in a team that is using the Scrum framework. The PO role only exist in Scrum, and the guide only describes its responsabilities within the Scrum process, not a word about the real product work.
Usually, when I see posts saying that we should replace Agile with something "more modern," the thing they describe as the replacement for Agile _is_ Agile. The thing they want to replace is some perversion of Agile thinking that doesn't work.
@raquel_m_smith Pretty much, I think of strategy as the set of choices you make in order to reach that vision. We are constantly making choices, when those choices are not random and are aligned with our vision, we have a strategy, even if we don't call it such
@raquel_m_smith Strategy is never a distraction, every choice you take is part of your strategy. You can't iterate your way to success without a vision and the correspondent choices you have to take to try to achieve it.
