@romain_beucher @ACCESS_NRI The simulation is a global coupled ice ocean model forced with the historical climatology. Then I used the output to generate the animation using blendernc, and add-on I codeveloped to visualize netcdfs in Blender.

New paper, "Climatology, Seasonality, and Trends of Spatially Coherent Ocean Eddies". We find that the seasonality of gaussian-like mesoscale eddies from observations is consistent with the inverse energy cascade.
